IRS TAX FILING

In order to maintain your Non-Profit tax status all locals are required to file a 990 form with the IRS.  Most locals can probably file a 990-N or 990E-Postcard provided your gross receipts are less than $50,000.  For Locals with gross receipts of less than $200,000 and total assets less than 500,000 form 990EZ or 990.  Locals with gross receipts of more than $200,000 or total assets of more than $500,000 form 990.  Below is a chart containing the information of who files what form.  Any questions contact your accountant or log onto the IRS web site

Which forms do exempt organizations file?

Most tax-exempt organizations are required to file an annual return. Which form an organization must file generally depends on its financial activity, as indicated in the chart below.
