It is with deep regret that Lancaster, Local 319, IAFF, announces the passing of retired firefighter Timothy Wilk. Tim was appointed to Lancaster City Fire on October 14, 1985. He retired on July 1, 2012. Tim was a member of Local 319 since his hire date and remained a member. He died Monday, September 8th of a cause yet to be determined. Tim is survived by his wife Nancy.
On August 30, Local 463 will be co-hosting a bus trip to Pittsburgh for State Representative Frank Burns. The price of the trip is $65.00 per person and includes tickets to the Pirates vs. Reds game which starts at 4:05pm. Also included in the package is $15.00 in free game play at the Rivers Casino.

September is leukemia awareness month and the members of the Local 840 are doing their part to raise money and awareness about this disease.
Leukemia is a cancer of the blood; someone in the US is diagnosed every 4 minutes.
It is the leading cause of cancer deaths among children under the age of 20.

It is with deep regret that Lancaster, Local 319, announces the passing of retired Lt. Carey Skiles, after a battle with cancer. Carey served the LCFD for almost 25 years. After retirement from the fire department, he worked for the State Store system. Carey was a current and proud IAFF member for over 40 years and a member of the UFCW in the state system.
The PPFFA has contracted with Xentel Inc. to conduct telemarketing fundraising in the following Counties; Lancaster, Delaware, Chester, York, Montgomery, Bucks, Berks, Lebanon, Dauphin, Cumberland, Northampton, Perry and Schuylkill. As I am made aware of changes, they will be posted. These Counties will have telemarketing either underway or beginning shortly; Allegheny, Westmoreland, Butler, Beaver, Washington, Crawford, Venango, Bradford, Greene, Bedford, Clearfield, Elk, McKean, Huntington, Juniata, Lycoming, Wayne, Centre, Indiana, and North Umberland Dave C.
