I'm Mark Boncal a Captain with Nanticoke City Fire Dept. Local 2655. At this time my stepson, Brian Dougherty is awaiting a heart transplant at UPMC   In Pittsburgh. He is currently home however arrangements are being made with Federal Air Ambulance in the event an organ becomes available. They will come to our local airport and pick him up and fly him to UPMC in Pittsburgh. The cost for this is around $11,000. This cost is for pilot, patient, and one family member.  A donation site has been set up by his mother to help offset out of pocket medical bills, Air Ambulance, lodging expenses, meals, post-transplant stay (approx. 4 months) fuel expenses.
