Penn State/PPFFA Community Heroes Day
Updated On: Apr 23, 2015

Saturday, September 12th will be the 3rd Annual Community Heroes Day with Penn State Football as the Nittany Lions take on the Buffalo Bulls to kick off the 2015 season at Beaver Stadium. Community Heroes Day was designed to highlight all First Responders (both active and retired) for all of the good they do in the community. All Fire Fighters will have priority access to purchase tickets for the game in the Community Heroes Section at just $60 with $15 of every ticket being split between the PPFFA and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

Members of the PPFFA are encouraged to order by sending the form below to President Art Martynuska. All Fire Fighters who order tickets by June 5th will be eligible for promotions such as, but not limited to, holding the American Flag during the National Anthem and post-game photos on the field. The largest First Responders organization to purchase tickets will be the group of the game!

Last year, over 300 Community Heroes came to Beaver Stadium to watch the Nittany Lions beat the Akron Zips 21-3. Community Heroes Day will kick off the Nittany Lions 2015 home season and the start of Coach James Franklin’s second season as Head Coach of the team. Game time is still to be decided.

Penn State returns 15 starters and 14 additional players who have started, for the 2015 season. Season tickets for the 2015 campaign are now on sale, with more than 2,500 new season tickets having been sold.
